Dhunibeshi, Nepal - In a step toward strengthening social welfare and elderly care services, Dhunibeshi Municipality has signed an agreement with Manav Sewa Ashram for the operation and management of the municipality’s old age home.
The agreement, formalized today, aims to ensure better care, protection, and dignity for senior citizens residing in the facility. With the involvement of Manav Sewa Ashram-an organization widely recognized in Nepal for its humanitarian work with vulnerable populations-the initiative is expected to enhance the quality of services provided to elderly residents.
Municipal representatives highlighted that the partnership reflects a growing commitment to addressing the needs of aging populations at the local level. By collaborating with an experienced social organization, the municipality seeks to ensure sustainable management, improved living conditions, and compassionate care for the elderly.
Officials from Manav Sewa Ashram expressed their readiness to take on the responsibility, emphasizing their mission to serve and support those in need, particularly individuals who are elderly, abandoned, or without family support.
This collaboration is seen as a positive example of local government and civil society working together to strengthen social protection systems and uphold the dignity and well-being of senior citizens.
