Kathmandu - Women entrepreneurs from across Nepal were honoured at the 6th NewBiz Business Women Summit & Awards 2026, celebrating leadership, innovation and enterprise at both national and provincial levels.
Organised by New Business Age Limited, the annual summit recognised outstanding women-led businesses and highlighted entrepreneurial achievements from all seven provinces. The platform has increasingly become a space to acknowledge women’s contributions to Nepal’s evolving economic landscape.
In the national categories, Rosalind Tuladhar, Vice President and Founder of Rainbow Collection Nepal Pvt. Ltd., received the Best Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award. Prarthana Saakha, Co-founder and Chief Business Development Officer of BIC Technology Pvt. Ltd., was honoured with the Woman in Tech Award, recognising her contribution to Nepal’s growing technology sector.
The Youth Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award was presented to Samiksha Rai, CEO and Co-founder of Pack My Lunch Pvt. Ltd., acknowledging innovation and leadership among emerging entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, Barsha Shrestha, Business Head at ICRA Nepal, was recognised as the Best Professional Woman for her professional excellence and sectoral impact.
In recognition of long-term dedication and institutional leadership, Shanti Chadha, Founding President of Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal, received a Special Recognition for Contribution to Women’s Entrepreneurship. The Lifetime Achievement Award in Women Entrepreneurship was conferred on Kamala Shrestha, Founder of SIAM Institute of Hair Design & Beauty Care, for her sustained efforts in skill development and enterprise promotion.
The summit also honoured women from all seven provinces under the Emerging Enterprising Woman of the Year Award, which recognises innovation, resilience and business leadership at the grassroots level.
The event underscored the growing role of women entrepreneurs in driving Nepal’s economic transformation, fostering inclusive growth and strengthening provincial business ecosystems. As women-led enterprises continue to expand across sectors-from technology and finance to food services and creative industries-the summit reaffirmed the importance of policy support, access to finance and institutional recognition in accelerating women’s economic participation.
For Nepal, where women’s entrepreneurship is steadily gaining momentum, the NewBiz Business Women Summit & Awards 2026 served not only as a celebration of achievement but also as a call to further empower women as key drivers of sustainable and inclusive development.
