Kathmandu - Lumbini Bikas Bank Limited has successfully concluded its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) yesterday, endorsing a range of important financial, governance, and strategic agendas that will guide the bank’s future course.
During the AGM, shareholders reviewed and discussed the bank’s financial highlights for the fiscal year 2081/82, reflecting the institution’s overall performance, operational efficiency, and financial position. While detailed figures were presented at the meeting, the discussions underscored the bank’s continued focus on prudent banking practices and sustainable growth within Nepal’s development banking sector.
The meeting also approved the appointment of an external auditor for the upcoming fiscal year and finalized the auditor’s remuneration, in line with prevailing regulatory requirements. In terms of corporate governance, shareholders endorsed the appointment of a director, reinforcing the bank’s board structure and oversight capacity.
A significant agenda of the AGM was related to merger and acquisition (M&A) matters. Shareholders granted approval to proceed with M&A-related processes, including the appointment of professional valuators, as required for assessing assets, liabilities, and share valuation in any potential merger or acquisition.
