Chirkhwa Hydro Power Limited successfully concluded its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today at Kundalini Royals, Jorpati, Kathmandu, starting at 10:00 AM.
The AGM reviewed and approved the financial highlights of fiscal year 2081/82, reflecting the company’s operational and financial performance during the period. Shareholders endorsed the appointment of the auditor for the upcoming fiscal year and approved the auditor’s remuneration, ensuring continued financial transparency and regulatory compliance.
During the meeting, shareholders ratified the decisions taken by the Board of Directors, providing formal approval to key strategic and administrative resolutions adopted over the year. A major outcome of the AGM was the approval of issuing right shares at a 1:1 ratio, aimed at strengthening the company’s equity base and supporting future project development and investment plans.
The AGM also passed resolutions on the amendment of the company’s capital structure, aligning it with long-term financing requirements. In addition, shareholders approved agendas related to the identification of new hydropower projects and potential investment opportunities, signaling the company’s intent to expand its portfolio in Nepal’s renewable energy sector.
To support these strategic changes, the meeting further endorsed amendments to the Articles of Association, ensuring that the company’s legal framework remains consistent with its evolving operational and financial objectives.

With all scheduled agendas approved, the 7th AGM of Chirkhwa Hydro Power Limited concluded successfully, reaffirming shareholder confidence in the company’s governance, growth strategy, and commitment to contributing to Nepal’s clean energy development.
