Kathmandu - Kalinchowk Darshan Limited has successfully concluded its 11th Annual General Meeting (AGM), endorsing key financial, governance, and structural decisions while reaffirming its mission to develop Kalinchowk as an integrated tourist destination grounded in sustainability, cultural preservation, and community empowerment.
During the AGM, shareholders reviewed and approved the financial highlights of the fiscal year 2081/82, reflecting the company’s operational progress and long-term growth strategy. The meeting also approved the appointment of the company’s auditor and formally endorsed the appointment of directors, strengthening the organization’s governance framework.
As part of shareholder returns, the AGM approved the distribution of 5 percent bonus shares along with a 0.2632 percent cash dividend, subject to prevailing regulatory requirements. In a move aimed at expanding financial capacity and supporting future development initiatives, the meeting also endorsed an increment in the company’s capital.
A major decision of the AGM was the approval for the issuance of right shares in a 1:1 ratio, allowing existing shareholders to subscribe proportionately and participate directly in the company’s expansion plans. Shareholders also ratified decisions taken earlier by the Board of Directors, ensuring continuity in strategic execution.
In addition, the AGM approved amendments to the company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, aligning internal policies with evolving operational needs, regulatory standards, and the company’s long-term vision.
Kalinchowk Darshan Limited reiterated its commitment to building Kalinchowk into a holistic tourism destination that integrates spiritual pilgrimage, eco-tourism, and cultural experiences. Located in Dolakha district of eastern Nepal, Kalinchowk is home to the revered Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple at an altitude of 3,842 meters, a major pilgrimage site believed to fulfill devotees’ prayers.FB_IMG_1767083828198-1767083882.jpg

The region also offers panoramic Himalayan views, including Mount Gaurishankar, Jugal Himal, and glimpses of Annapurna and Everest, alongside rich biodiversity within the Gaurishankar Conservation Area. The trekking route from Kuri (3,200 meters) to the temple passes through culturally diverse settlements of Sherpa, Tamang, Brahmin, and Chhetri communities, reflecting Nepal’s multicultural harmony.
Company officials emphasized that future investments will prioritize responsible infrastructure development, environmental conservation, and local economic participation, ensuring that tourism growth remains inclusive and sustainable.
As Nepal advances its global tourism recovery and diversification, Kalinchowk Darshan Limited’s integrated approach positions the destination as a promising model for faith-based, nature-centered, and community-driven tourism development.
