Several provinces, including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini, are experiencing partial to general cloud cover, along with varying intensities of rainfall and snowfall in specific regions.
Current Weather Conditions
Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning has been reported in various parts of Gandaki province, some locations in Bagmati, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and isolated areas in Karnali province. Heavy rainfall is ongoing in select areas of Gandaki province and isolated parts of Bagmati, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Forecast for the Day
This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy nationwide. Thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall are likely in the hilly regions of Koshi and Madhesh provinces and scattered areas elsewhere. Heavy rainfall may occur in one or two locations in the hilly regions of Koshi province.
High-altitude regions in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are forecasted to receive light rain or snowfall.
Nighttime Weather Outlook
Tonight, the weather will remain predominantly cloudy. Thunderstorms and light to moderate rain are expected in many places across Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with a few places in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces also likely to experience rainfall. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is anticipated in parts of Koshi and Madhesh provinces, as well as isolated areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Light rain or snowfall may also occur in high-altitude regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces and isolated locations in other Himalayan areas.
