Kathmandu, June 14 - Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company Limited, a publicly listed hydropower company operating the 8.4 MW Ankhu Khola-1 Hydropower Project in Dhading District, successfully concluded its 17th and 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Kathmandu on Sunday.
The AGM reviewed and approved the company's financial highlights for the fiscal years 2080/81 and 2081/82. Shareholders discussed the company's operational and financial performance, along with its future plans and prospects in Nepal's growing hydropower sector.
The meeting also endorsed the appointment of an external auditor for the upcoming fiscal year and completed the election of directors to the company's Board of Directors in accordance with prevailing regulatory provisions and the company's Articles of Association.
This company operates a run-of-river hydropower project on the Ankhu River in Dhading District. The project, commissioned in 2013, has an installed capacity of 8.4 MW and supplies electricity to Nepal's national grid through the Nepal Electricity Authority. The company has played a significant role in contributing renewable energy to the country's power system while promoting local participation through public share ownership.
During the AGM, company representatives highlighted the importance of strengthening operational efficiency, ensuring sustainable energy generation, and creating long-term value for shareholders. The gathering also provided a platform for shareholders to raise queries and provide suggestions regarding the company's performance and future development initiatives.
