Senior RSP Leader Balendra Shah Intensifies Voter Outreach in Eastern Hills

Jhapa - Balendra Shah, a senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and a candidate from Jhapa Constituency No. 5 for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, has intensified his voter outreach activities across eastern Nepal.
Following the registration of his candidacy on Tuesday in Jhapa, Shah has extended his campaign beyond his electoral constituency, holding meetings with voters in several districts of the eastern region. Prior to filing his nomination, he participated in a public program in Janakpur and later traveled to Jhapa, where he stayed for two days before heading toward the eastern hill districts.
On Wednesday, Shah visited various locations in Ilam, Panchthar, and Taplejung, where he interacted directly with local residents. According to party sources, these interactions focused on understanding local concerns, development priorities, and public expectations from political leadership.
Shah is scheduled to visit the Pathibhara Temple in Taplejung on Thursday. While most candidates remain focused primarily on their own constituencies, Shah’s outreach to neighboring districts and electoral areas reflects a broader engagement strategy during the election period.
Observers note that Shah’s campaign approach emphasizes direct public interaction and regional presence, marking a departure from more constituency-centered election practices.
