Ashika Tamang Launches Grassroots Political Campaign in Dhading, Emphasizes Service Over Politics

Dhading, Nepal - Emerging political figure Ashika Tamang has formally launched her campaign in Dhading Constituency-1, connecting with voters directly at the community level and promising to bring a “voice of the people” to Nepalese politics.
In a powerful message shared with constituents, Tamang emphasized that her ambition is not rooted in traditional political leadership, but in representing the everyday struggles and aspirations of local families.
“We will soon reach your very homes, your neighborhoods, and your communities. Carrying your problems, your pain, and your joys, I am moving forward,” Tamang said in her message. She added that her personal political victory would symbolize a victory for the people of Dhading, and any loss would be felt collectively.
Tamang went on to state that her campaign is founded on trust and service rather than rhetoric, asserting her commitment to working for the grassroots rather than merely delivering speeches.
“I have not come into politics to become a leader. I want to come as the voice of the grassroots, as the trust and confidence of Dhading,” she affirmed.
A core theme in her message was accountability and resolve: “I am not someone who only talks; I am someone who works. Once I decide to do something, I make sure it gets done - no matter what.”
Observers note that Tamang’s rhetoric reflects a growing desire among Nepalese voters for service-oriented leadership that prioritizes tangible outcomes for local communities over political posturing.
Tamang’s campaign aligns with the principles of RSP Nepal, under which she is contesting, and appears focused on connecting with voters through direct engagement and grassroots mobilization.
Political analysts say that such messaging may resonate strongly in rural districts like Dhading, where citizens often feel distant from centralized political power in Kathmandu.
As Tamang continues her campaign across the district, her emphasis on community presence, accountability, and action is expected to further define her political identity.
