Kathmandu, Nepal - The Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) has contributed NPR 5.1 million to the Government of Nepal’s Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund, reinforcing support for the reconstruction of damaged public infrastructure and advancing economic recovery efforts.
The cheque for the contribution was formally handed over to Honorable Minister for Finance, Mr. Rameshwar Khanal, by Mr. Tulsi Prasad Ghimire, Chairperson of the Fund’s Board of Directors.
The Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund was established by the Government of Nepal in Ashoj 2082 BS, following widespread damage to public structures during the protests on Bhadra 23 and 24, 2082 BS. The event was attended by senior officials and key stakeholders, including Finance Secretary Dr. Ghanshyam Upadhyay, Joint Secretary Mr. Uttar Kumar Khatri, Board Member Mr. Sundar Panthi, Executive Director Mr. Parbat Kumar Karki, Director Ms. Shobha Shrestha Suvedi, Mr. Hemant Pokhrel, and Secretary of the Board and Director Mr. Nabaraj Khadka.
The Citizen Investment Trust’s contribution underscores the commitment of financial institutions to national development priorities and the collective effort toward rebuilding resilient infrastructure in post-crisis Nepal.
