Kathmandu, Jestha 15, 2082 – On the occasion of Republic Day, President Ramchandra Paudel hailed democratic republicanism as one of the most advanced and citizen-centered political systems in the world. In his message to the nation, President Paudel extended heartfelt best wishes to all Nepalis, emphasizing the transformative role of democratic republicanism in ensuring citizen sovereignty.

In his statement, the President remarked, "There is no system in the world more advanced than this. For this reason, this system has made citizens sovereign. It fully recognizes citizens as the source of state authority and power."

He further elaborated that Nepal's Constitution has institutionalized the principle of citizen sovereignty, marking it as a monumental achievement for the country. “Our Constitution has enshrined citizen sovereignty as a significant achievement, and we are committed to practicing it,” he noted, underlining the nation's steadfast dedication to upholding democratic values.

The Republic Day celebrations serve as a reminder of the sacrifices and aspirations of Nepali citizens who have continually strived for equality, justice, and inclusivity within a democratic framework. This year’s Republic Day resonates with Nepal’s commitment to strengthening its democratic ideals and fostering inclusive governance that places citizens at the heart of state affairs.

Ecosphere News salutes the resilient spirit of the Nepali people and their commitment to democracy. The occasion is a significant milestone in Nepal's political journey, reaffirming the nation's pursuit of democratic excellence and equity.
