Kathmandu, Nepal – Bianca Adler, a 16-year-old schoolgirl from Australia, achieved an extraordinary feat by successfully summiting Mount Manaslu, the eighth-highest peak in the world, on September 25, 2024. Bianca’s accomplishment has made waves in the mountaineering community, marking her as one of the youngest climbers to conquer the challenging 8,163-meter peak.

Accompanied by her father, Paul Adler, Bianca has been in Nepal pursuing her passion for adventure and mountaineering. While most teenagers her age are attending school in traditional classrooms, Bianca has found a balance between her love for the mountains and her education by continuing her studies through online classes. Her determination to excel in both arenas is a testament to her commitment and passion.

Next Challenge: Khumbu Region

Following her successful ascent of Manaslu, Bianca has set her sights on the Khumbu region, home to some of the world’s most famous peaks, including Mount Everest. While details of her next expedition are yet to be finalized, Bianca’s ambition to tackle more of Nepal’s high-altitude challenges is clear.

"I feel most alive when I’m climbing," said Bianca. "It’s not just about reaching the summit; it’s about pushing my limits and experiencing the beauty of these incredible mountains."

Paul Adler, a seasoned climber himself, expressed his pride in his daughter’s achievement, while also acknowledging the physical and mental toughness required to take on such daunting challenges at a young age. "Bianca’s focus and drive are truly remarkable. Climbing Manaslu was no small feat, and I’m excited to see her continue pursuing her dreams in the Khumbu region."

Adventure and Passion

Bianca’s adventurous spirit has been nurtured by her father’s own love for climbing, but it’s her personal passion for pushing boundaries that fuels her. Beyond mountaineering, she is known for her interest in various outdoor activities, making her a well-rounded adventurer.

With Nepal as a backdrop for her current journey, Bianca continues to inspire young climbers and adventurers worldwide, demonstrating that age is no barrier when it comes to chasing your dreams.

As she prepares for her next expedition, the climbing community will no doubt be watching to see what this young trailblazer achieves next.
