Citizens Bank International Limited, one of Nepal’s established commercial banks, has successfully concluded its 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, reaffirming its commitment to ethical banking, service excellence, and sustainable financial growth.
Established on April 20, 2007 (B.S. 2064/01/07) as the country’s 20th commercial bank, Citizens Bank has steadily built a reputation as a reliable and trustworthy financial institution. Headquartered at Narayanhiti Path in Kathmandu-at the heart of the nation’s financial sector-the bank is promoted by eminent personalities, business and industrial houses, and reputed individuals with strong social standing.
The AGM reviewed the bank’s overall performance and institutional progress while highlighting its expanding national footprint. Currently, Citizens Bank operates through 200 branches and 169 ATMs across Nepal, supported by three extension counters and 74 branchless banking units. This wide network reflects the bank’s ongoing effort to enhance financial inclusion and improve access to banking services, particularly beyond major urban centers.
During the meeting, the bank reiterated its mission of being a trustworthy partner for individuals and institutions by designing and delivering effective financial solutions aligned with customer needs. Its long-term vision-to become a leading bank in the region known for service excellence-continues to guide strategic priorities.
The leadership of Citizens Bank also underlined its five core values: customer focus, service excellence, human resource development, strong corporate governance, and social responsibility. Emphasis was placed on ethical business practices, transparency, and the role of the banking sector in supporting national development.
With nearly two decades of operation, Citizens Bank International Limited continues to strengthen its position in Nepal’s banking sector through professional management, customer-centric services, and a firm commitment to social and institutional responsibility.
