Kathmandu, March 28, 2026 - The 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nepal Agricultural Machinery Entrepreneurs’ Association concluded successfully today, bringing together key stakeholders from across Nepal’s agricultural mechanization sector to review progress, discuss challenges, and outline future strategies.
The AGM, a significant annual gathering of entrepreneurs, importers, distributors, and technical experts, served as a platform to assess the current state of agricultural mechanization in Nepal. With over 400 members nationwide, the association continues to play a pivotal role in promoting modern farming technologies and strengthening the agricultural supply chain.FB_IMG_1774711059431-1774711424.jpg
During the meeting, participants reviewed the organization’s annual activities and financial performance, while also emphasizing the urgent need to accelerate mechanization in rural areas. Discussions highlighted persistent challenges such as limited access to modern equipment, high import costs, lack of skilled technicians, and the need for supportive government policies.
Stakeholders stressed that agricultural mechanization remains critical for improving productivity, especially as Nepal faces labor shortages in the farming sector. The adoption of modern tools and machinery is increasingly seen as essential to ensuring food security, enhancing efficiency, and building resilience against climate-related risks.FB_IMG_1774710999974-1774711425.jpg
The AGM also underscored the importance of capacity building, including technical training for machinery operation and maintenance. Strengthening collaboration between the private sector, government agencies, and development partners was identified as a key pathway to advancing sustainable agricultural transformation in Nepal.
While detailed decisions and official announcements from the meeting are yet to be publicly released, the successful conclusion of the AGM signals continued commitment from industry leaders to modernize Nepal’s agriculture and support farmers through innovation and technology.
Further updates are expected as the association publishes its official outcomes and future action plans.FB_IMG_1774711063943-1774711424.jpg
