Kathmandu, August 30: Luna Luitel, a 26-year-old public health and nursing professional, has been crowned Miss Nepal World 2025. The grand finale of the 31st edition of Miss Nepal, organized by The Hidden Treasure, took place on Friday evening at the Sunrise Convention Center in Godavari, Lalitpur.
Outgoing Miss Nepal World 2024, Ashma Kumari KC, crowned Luitel as her successor.
Luitel, who pursued nursing studies in Australia and is currently completing a master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Sydney, has been active in social service and health advocacy. She had previously earned recognition as the first runner-up of Miss Teen Nepal 2015. Guided by her motto “Learn, Earn, and Return,” she expressed her commitment to using her platform to promote healthcare awareness and community development.
Alongside the main title, other crowns were awarded:
Miss Nepal Cosmo 2025: Dipshikha Nepal
Miss Nepal International 2025: Urusha Bhandari
Miss Nepal Earth 2025: Sony Ghale
The event also featured several sub-titles, with contestants recognized for their confidence, elegance, talent, and advocacy.
Judges for the finale included former Miss Nepal World Shrinkhala Khatiwada, actress Anna Sharma, designer Manish Rai, and other prominent figures from media and business.
This year’s finale highlighted not only beauty and personality but also social awareness, as the top finalists addressed questions on shifting perceptions of beauty pageants and their role in society.
With this win, Luna Luitel will represent Nepal at the upcoming Miss World 2025 pageant, where she is expected to showcase her advocacy for public health and women’s empowerment on the global stage.
