Kathmandu, Nepal - June 22, 2025

Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd. in Nepal, has launched the much-anticipated 2025 version of the BYD Dolphin. This upgraded electric hatchback introduces advanced technologies and features, further cementing its position as Nepal’s best-selling electric vehicle.

Revolutionary LFP Low Voltage Battery

A standout feature of the 2025 model is the industry-first Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Low Voltage Battery (LVB), replacing traditional lead-acid batteries. This innovation offers multiple benefits:

Lightweight Design: Six times lighter than conventional alternatives.

Enhanced Longevity: A lifespan of up to 15 years.

Lower Self-Discharge: Five times more efficient than traditional systems.

The LFP LVB, backed by a 6-year/150,000 km warranty, signifies a major breakthrough in energy storage, aligning with global trends towards sustainability.

Enhanced Features for Performance and Comfort

Building on the BYD e-Platform 3.0 and ultra-safe Blade Battery technology, the BYD Dolphin 2025 achieves a WLTP range of 340 km, with fast DC charging that reaches 80% capacity in just 30 minutes. The vehicle also includes:

Sportier Suspension: Optimized for Nepal’s diverse terrains.

Brighter LED Headlights: Improved night visibility.

Efficient Air Conditioning: Enhanced cooling and heating systems.

Convenience Upgrades: Mobile Phone NFC Key, Bluetooth Key, and Passenger Door Switch for seamless usability.

The new model is available in three premium colors - Atlantis Grey, Urban Grey, and Ski White - with the striking Atlantis Grey introduced this year.

Affordable Pricing and Sustainability Milestone

Priced competitively at NPR 41.15 lakhs, the BYD Dolphin 2025 includes a 7kW home charger, making it accessible for a wide range of customers. During the launch, Cimex celebrated delivering the 2,490th unit in Nepal, contributing to a global milestone of 830,000 units sold.

Leadership Statements

Ms. Yamuna Shrestha, Managing Director of Cimex Inc., emphasized the company’s dedication to sustainable mobility, stating:

“The BYD Dolphin 2025 represents our commitment to innovation and excellence in driving a greener future for Nepal.”

Mr. Sahil Shrestha, CEO of Cimex Inc., highlighted the vehicle’s role in fostering an electric lifestyle:

“With each launch, we strengthen the ecosystem for zero-emission mobility and enhance customer experiences from showroom to service.”BYD-1-1750641791.jpg
