Rukum West, Nepal - The picturesque Thuli Dah, located in Musikot Municipality-7 of West Rukum, is increasingly attracting domestic tourists because of its unique combination of natural beauty and religious significance.
The lake has recently gained wider public attention after a municipal assembly meeting was organized at the site, highlighting its potential as an important religious and tourism destination. According to Ward Chairperson Ekkabahadur Pandey, infrastructure development is currently underway to promote the area as a well-managed attraction for both pilgrims and visitors seeking nature-based experiences.
As part of the development initiative, a foot trail connecting the Mid-Hill Highway to Thuli Dah has been constructed. In addition, picnic spots and drinking water facilities have been arranged to improve visitor convenience and encourage longer stays.
Local representatives believe that the ongoing improvements will not only enhance the tourism appeal of Thuli Dah but also create new opportunities for local businesses, hospitality services, and community-based economic activities. Increased tourist arrivals are expected to provide income opportunities for nearby residents through food services, transportation, and other tourism-related enterprises.
Surrounded by the scenic hills of West Rukum, Thuli Dah offers a peaceful environment for religious devotion, recreation, and eco-tourism.
