Raskot, Kalikot, May 24 – Badi Malika Secondary School, located in Raskot Municipality of Kalikot, has been recognized as the best school in Karnali Province. The distinction was awarded following an evaluation by a committee formed by the Principals' Association of Nepal (PAN).
The Principals' Association of Nepal annually honors schools as part of its annual celebration. This year, during its just-concluded event, Badi Malika Secondary School from Raskot Municipality in Kalikot received the honor as the best school in Karnali Province.
The evaluation process for community schools was based on 25 designated criteria. The Principals' Association of Nepal revealed that a selection committee, chaired by educational expert Professor Dr. Bidhyanath Koirala, assessed the schools. The decision to award Badi Malika Secondary School was based on the committee's evaluation of the school's positive impact in the education sector.
Principal Pushparaj Baral expressed his satisfaction, stating that the recognition was the result of the dedication and hard work of his team. "Operating the school amid significant political interference and bias was challenging for our school management committee, administration, and staff. However, we persevered, and receiving this honor today is truly rewarding," he remarked with enthusiasm.
Principal Baral further shared that this recognition has motivated the school to continue its efforts toward further improvement. Despite challenges such as frequent teacher transfers and directives from the municipality's education department, Badi Malika Secondary School has crossed numerous milestones in improving its educational standards, ultimately earning this prestigious honor.
