Belkotgadhi, Nuwakot – The provincial government has allocated NPR 1 million for the control and management of the Simbari Falate River in Keurini, situated in Belkotgadhi Municipality Ward No. 8. This project aims to address the pressing issues of riverbank erosion and flooding that have been affecting the local community.

The allocated budget is being utilized to construct necessary infrastructure to mitigate the impact of the river's flow during monsoon seasons, safeguarding nearby settlements and agricultural land. According to municipal officials, the project is expected to bring significant relief to the residents who have been enduring the adverse effects of uncontrolled river flow for years.

Construction is currently underway, with local authorities supervising the progress to ensure timely and efficient implementation. The initiative is part of the provincial government's broader strategy to enhance sustainable water management and disaster resilience in the region.

Residents have expressed optimism about the initiative but emphasized the need for rigorous quality control and timely completion. The success of this project is anticipated to serve as a model for similar interventions in other vulnerable areas across the province.FB_IMG_1747745147215-1747745314.jpg
