Kathmandu, April 16, 2025 – A two-day Provincial Consultation Workshop on the Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) Strategic Roadmap Nepal commenced today at Hotel Himalaya, Kupondole, Lalitpur. Organized by the National Health Training Center (NHTC) in collaboration with WHO Nepal, the workshop aims to refine and contextualize the FETP roadmap to ensure its effective implementation across Nepal.

Key Objectives and Agenda
The workshop focuses on two primary objectives:

1. Sharing the draft FETP Roadmap Nepal with provincial stakeholders to promote understanding of its purpose, structure, and strategic direction.
2. Collecting feedback and suggestions to make the roadmap context-specific, inclusive, and practically implementable.

On the first day, the opening session featured remarks from dignitaries and key stakeholders, followed by a technical presentation on field epidemiology training programs by representatives from SAFETYNET and WHO Nepal. Participants engaged in group discussions to deliberate on the draft roadmap, its vision, and objectives, aiming to identify strategies to strengthen field epidemiology training in Nepal.

Looking Ahead
Day two will focus on consolidating feedback and finalizing the workshop recommendations. The session will conclude with a closing ceremony that encapsulates insights and actionable steps for advancing the FETP initiative in Nepal.FB_IMG_1744867731339-1744867811.jpg
