Kathmandu, Nepal - In a welcome initiative to ease travel during the Dashain festival, the Armed Police Force (APF), Nepal, has operated two free bus services in the Kathmandu Valley to help passengers reach their destinations more conveniently.
The initiative aims to provide relief to travellers during the festive period, when many people move around the valley to visit family members, celebrate with loved ones and travel to their hometowns.
According to the announced routes, the first bus departs from the APF Headquarters and operates via Balaju, New Bus Park, Koteshwor, Satdobato and Balkhu, serving local passengers travelling to various destinations along the route.
The second bus also departs from the APF Headquarters and operates via Sitapaila, Kalanki, Balkhu, Koteshwor and New Bus Park, providing free transportation to passengers along the designated route.
The initiative is a welcome public service during one of Nepal’s most important festivals, when accessible and affordable transportation can make a meaningful difference for the public.
Such efforts by public institutions help ease the burden on passengers during festive travel and highlight the importance of public service, community support and people-centred initiatives.
Ecosphere News welcomes initiatives that make public transportation more accessible and help people celebrate Dashain with greater convenience and peace of mind.
