Road Conditions Improve in Chiraudi Following Graveling Works

Galchhi, Dhading - The Chiraudi section, located across Wards 4 and 6 of Galchhi Rural Municipality, has seen a significant improvement in road conditions after recent graveling works, bringing relief to commuters and local residents.
The aerial photograph shows a wider and more organized roadway running alongside the Trishuli River, with construction equipment still present, indicating that improvement works are ongoing. The previously dusty, uneven, and hazardous stretch has been transformed into a smoother surface, allowing vehicles to travel more safely and efficiently.
For years, the Chiraudi road section posed challenges for motorists, particularly during the dry season when dust reduced visibility and during the monsoon when deteriorating road conditions increased travel risks. The latest graveling has enhanced road stability, improved traffic flow, and reduced travel discomfort.
While the upgrade marks an important step toward improving regional connectivity, continued maintenance, proper drainage, and eventual blacktopping will be essential to ensure the road remains resilient, particularly during Nepal's monsoon season.
Improved transport infrastructure not only enhances road safety but also strengthens access to markets, public services, tourism destinations, and economic opportunities for communities across the Galchhi corridor.
