Jumla, Nepal - On the occasion of its 27th anniversary, KIRDARC Nepal organized a dialogue program titled “Clean and Green Jumla”, bringing together representatives from local governments, youth groups, civil society organizations, community leaders, media professionals, and other key stakeholders to discuss sustainable waste management and environmental conservation in the district.
The dialogue served as a platform for participants to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore practical solutions to address growing environmental challenges in Jumla. Discussions focused on improving waste management systems, promoting environmental awareness, strengthening community participation, and fostering long-term sustainability initiatives.
Organizers emphasized the importance of collective action and multi-stakeholder collaboration in preserving Jumla’s natural environment. KIRDARC Nepal, a development organization that has been working in Karnali and other parts of Nepal since 1999, has long been engaged in promoting sustainable development, environmental protection, community empowerment, and policy advocacy. The organization has been recognized for its efforts in advancing climate resilience and environmental sustainability through community-based initiatives and partnerships.
