Lower Erkhuwa Hydropower Holds 7th Annual General Meeting in Kathmandu, Advances IPO and Governance Agendas

Kathmandu, June 12, 2026 - Lower Erkhuwa Hydropower Company Limited successfully concluded its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Kathmandu on Friday, marking an important milestone in the company’s corporate and financial journey. The meeting reviewed key financial and governance matters and endorsed several strategic agendas aimed at strengthening the company’s future growth.
During the AGM, shareholders discussed and reviewed the company’s financial highlights for the fiscal year 2081/82. The meeting also approved the appointment of an auditor for the upcoming fiscal year, ensuring continued financial transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
One of the major agendas of the meeting was the issuance of Initial Public Offering (IPO) shares to the general public. The proposal reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to broaden public participation and mobilize capital for its hydropower development initiatives. The company has previously indicated plans to move forward with public share issuance as part of its long-term expansion strategy.
The AGM also granted necessary authority to the Board of Directors to undertake actions required for implementing approved decisions. In addition, shareholders endorsed amendments to the company’s Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association to align corporate governance structures with current operational and regulatory needs.
Lower Erkhuwa Hydropower Company Limited is developing the 14.15 MW Lower Erkhuwa Hydropower Project and remains committed to contributing to Nepal’s growing renewable energy sector.
