Rising Tourist Flow Boosts Interest in Badimalika Temple

Kathmandu, Nepal - The number of visitors traveling to the renowned pilgrimage and tourism destination of Badimalika Temple has increased significantly in recent weeks, reflecting growing interest in Nepal’s remote mountain tourism and religious heritage sites.
According to information shared by Amar Bahadur Khadka, around 1,300 people have visited the Badimalika area within the last one month alone. Local authorities have also indicated that the flow of visitors is continuing to rise.
Located in the high hills of Bajura district in Sudurpashchim Province, Badimalika is widely known for its religious importance, scenic Himalayan landscapes, and cultural value. The destination attracts both pilgrims and domestic trekkers, especially during the annual Badimalika festival season. The recent increase in visitor numbers is being viewed as a positive sign for local tourism, hospitality businesses, and the regional economy.
Tourism stakeholders believe that improved awareness through social media, increasing domestic travel culture, and growing interest in offbeat destinations have contributed to the rising popularity of Badimalika. However, locals and tourism experts also stress the importance of sustainable tourism management, improved infrastructure, waste management, and safer trekking routes to support the growing number of travelers.
Despite its immense tourism potential, the Badimalika region still faces challenges related to transportation access, accommodation facilities, and weather-related difficulties. Nevertheless, the steady rise in visitors highlights the destination’s expanding role in Nepal’s mountain and religious tourism sector.
