Iran Warns Neighbours Against Hosting ‘Enemy Operations’ Amid Escalating Regional Conflict

Amid intensifying conflict in the Middle East, Iran has issued a strong warning to neighbouring countries, cautioning them against allowing their territories to be used by foreign powers for military operations against Tehran. The statement reflects growing regional tensions as the ongoing war involving the United States and Israel continues to expand across multiple fronts.
Iranian officials have emphasized that any country facilitating attacks-directly or indirectly-could be considered part of the conflict. Tehran has signaled that such actions would invite retaliation, underscoring its stance that national security threats will be met with decisive responses. This warning comes as several Gulf nations host foreign military bases, raising concerns about their potential involvement in the conflict.
At the same time, Iran has attempted to balance its message by indicating that it does not seek confrontation with its neighbours. Earlier statements from Iranian leadership suggested that attacks on neighbouring states would be avoided unless aggression originates from their soil.
However, the situation on the ground remains volatile. Regional governments, including Gulf countries, have expressed alarm over rising threats from Iran-linked groups and proxy forces, which have reportedly carried out missile strikes and other operations across the region.
The conflict has already widened beyond direct state actors. Iran-aligned groups, such as Yemen’s Houthi forces, have entered the fray, launching attacks that signal the emergence of new battlefronts. This escalation has heightened fears of a broader regional war, with critical shipping routes and energy infrastructure increasingly at risk.
Analysts note that Iran is leveraging asymmetric warfare strategies, including drone and missile operations, while also exerting pressure on global energy markets through disruptions in key maritime corridors. These developments have contributed to rising oil prices and growing economic uncertainty worldwide.
As diplomatic efforts struggle to gain traction, the warning from Tehran highlights the fragile security environment across the Middle East. With multiple actors involved and tensions spreading geographically, the risk of further escalation remains high, raising concerns about long-term regional stability and global economic repercussions.
