Open Blood Donation Program Held at Con Community Co-operative on 27th Anniversary

Pokhara - Con Community Saving and Credit Co-operative Society Ltd. marked its 27th anniversary by organizing an Open Blood Donation Program under its social responsibility initiative. The program was held on Saturday, 26th Poush 2082 (B.S.) at the co-operative’s premises, organized by its Education Sub-Committee.
The program was conducted under the chairmanship of Madhav Prasad Sigdel, President of the co-operative. Former President Tirtha Bahadur Basnet attended the event as the Chief Guest. Guests of honor included Arjun Gyawali, Head of the Nepal Red Cross Society, Kaski Provincial Blood Transfusion Service, Pokhara, and Harishchandra Sharma, Manager of the Emergency Blood Donation Unit, Pokhara.
The event witnessed the presence of members of the Board of Directors, the Audit Supervision Committee, various sub-committees, advisors, the press coordinator, the General Manager, employees of the co-operative, and local participants. The blood donation drive was conducted with technical support from the Blood Transfusion Center, Pokhara.
According to the organizers, 59 units of blood were collected, and a total of 126 people participated in the program. The collected blood is expected to support emergency and routine medical needs in Pokhara and surrounding areas.
The co-operative extended its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all individuals and organizations who contributed directly and indirectly to the successful completion of the program, reaffirming its commitment to community welfare and social responsibility.
