Siddhi Hydropower Concludes 3rd AGM, Approves IPO Issuance and Key Strategic Decisions

Kathmandu - Siddhi Hydropower Company Limited successfully concluded its 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, marking an important milestone in the company’s journey toward expanding clean and sustainable energy production in Nepal.
During the AGM, shareholders approved the financial statements and key financial highlights for the fiscal year 2081/82, reflecting the company’s ongoing efforts to maintain financial discipline while advancing hydropower development in an environmentally responsible manner.
A major outcome of the meeting was the endorsement of plans to issue Initial Public Offering (IPO) shares to the general public as well as project-affected local communities, reinforcing Siddhi Hydropower’s commitment to inclusive development and local stakeholder participation.
The AGM also approved the appointment of an external auditor for the upcoming fiscal year and the appointment of independent directors, aimed at strengthening corporate governance, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
In line with its long-term growth strategy, shareholders sanctioned investments in necessary and future hydropower projects, along with provisions for investment in and purchase of shares of other companies, where deemed strategically viable. The meeting further approved policies related to the management of payments, as well as the sale and distribution of shares, providing the company with greater operational and financial flexibility.
Speaking through the decisions taken at the AGM, Siddhi Hydropower reaffirmed its mission to deliver reliable, clean, and sustainable hydroelectric power, while safeguarding environmental integrity and contributing to Nepal’s green energy transition.
With these resolutions in place, the company is expected to move forward with enhanced governance structures and expanded investment capacity, positioning itself as a growing contributor to Nepal’s renewable energy landscape.
