Kathmandu: Singati Hydro Energy Ltd has successfully concluded its 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, endorsing several key proposals related to the company’s financial performance, capital structure, and future investment plans.
During the meeting, shareholders discussed and approved the company’s financial highlights for the fiscal year 2081/82, reflecting the overall operational and financial status of the hydropower company. As part of statutory requirements, the AGM also approved the appointment of an auditor for the upcoming fiscal year.
The meeting endorsed proposals concerning investment in other projects, indicating the company’s intention to expand its presence within Nepal’s hydropower and energy sector. Shareholders also approved a proposal related to the distribution of bonus shares, subject to regulatory approvals.
In a move aimed at strengthening the company’s capital base, the AGM passed resolutions to increase the company’s authorized and issued capital. Additionally, shareholders approved the issuance of right shares in a 1:1 ratio, allowing existing shareholders to subscribe to new shares in proportion to their current holdings.
The AGM also approved proposed amendments to the company’s Articles of Association, aligning internal governance documents with the company’s evolving operational and financial structure.
Singati Hydro Energy Ltd stated that the decisions taken at the 16th AGM are expected to support the company’s long-term growth strategy and enhance shareholder value while contributing to Nepal’s renewable energy development goals.
