Lalitpur, August 29: Kathmandu University (KU) School of Education, in collaboration with ETH Zurich, successfully concluded a two-day workshop on case-based learning and collaborative discussions at Hotel Himalaya, Lalitpur. The program, held on 28 and 29 August 2025, was organized under the iLab Nepal initiative.
The workshop began on August 28 with a keynote presentation by Prof. Ursula Renold of ETH Zurich, highlighting innovative approaches to applied learning in education. Throughout the first day, participants presented case studies in teams, each followed by extensive discussions. The day also included an iLab Graduate and Alumni Seminar, providing a platform for experience sharing and networking.
On the second day, Dr. Patrick McDonald delivered a presentation and discussion session, followed by additional case presentations. The event concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Renold, who emphasized the importance of collaboration in advancing education research and practice in Nepal.
According to the organizers, the workshop provided a valuable opportunity for educators, researchers, and practitioners to exchange insights and strengthen Nepal’s capacity for applied research and learning. With active engagement from participants, the program was marked as a success, reinforcing the role of international partnerships in enhancing academic innovation.
