Pokhara, August 10, 2025 - The second World Challenge group volunteering initiative in Kalabang Gharedi, Pumdikot-22, Kaski, has been successfully completed, bringing visible improvements to a local school and its surroundings.
The project, coordinated by Cold Feet Foundation Nepal, involved 16 students and three adults from The Judd School in the United Kingdom. Over the course of their stay, the team completed several community enhancement activities, including tiling the Early Childhood Development (ECD) classroom, creating a garden sitting area, painting the classroom, and planting 22 coffee and fruit trees on the school premises.
According to project coordinator Ruth Gurung, the collaboration went smoothly, with participants not only meeting but exceeding expectations. “Everyone loved the experience and felt proud of what they accomplished. It was a truly meaningful and fulfilling project for all involved,” she said.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to connect international volunteers with grassroots projects in Nepal, fostering cultural exchange and tangible community benefits.
