  • Locals Demand Immediate Repairs on Neglected Kanchanpur-Kamala Four-Lane Road
Locals Demand Immediate Repairs on Neglected Kanchanpur-Kamala Four-Lane Road

Siraha – Residents of Kanchanpur-Kamala have expressed deep dissatisfaction with the construction company handling the four-lane road project due to negligence in repairs. Cuts made during construction have been left unattended for months, creating hazardous potholes and raising the risk of accidents.

The road section between Mirchaiya and Karjanha municipalities has become a hotspot of complaints as these potholes disrupt traffic flow and endanger lives. "The road was initially well-paved, but it is now a source of accidents and frustration due to the neglect," one resident stated.

Locals also report that the unaddressed conditions are particularly dangerous during nighttime, with poor visibility amplifying the risk of severe accidents. This lack of attention has led the community to demand immediate intervention from the construction company and government authorities.

Despite growing concerns, neither the construction company nor the responsible government agencies have issued a formal statement or taken corrective actions.

The situation calls for urgent measures to ensure public safety, reflecting a pressing need for accountability and efficiency in Nepal's infrastructure projects.
