Dhading – The vital Prithvi Highway, a key route connecting Kathmandu to the rest of Nepal, has resumed operation after being blocked for approximately 13 hours due to the partial collapse of a bridge in Thakre Rural Municipality.
On Tuesday morning, around 10:15 AM, a section of the bridge at Sopyang Khola in Ward No. 7 subsided, bringing vehicular movement to a standstill. The incident occurred at a location where the highway is undergoing upgrading and construction, highlighting the challenges of maintaining traffic flow during large-scale infrastructure projects.
