Tourists Flock to See Nepal's Longest Suspension Bridge in Susta, Nawalparasi

Following the construction of Nepal’s longest suspension bridge over the Narayani River in Susta, Nawalparasi, a steady flow of tourists has been visiting the area daily. During the recent Dashain holiday, the bridge was crowded with visitors. The 1,571-meter-long bridge connects the remote village of Susta, located across the Narayani River, with the rest of Nepal.

Before the bridge's construction, the residents of Susta, home to 265 households, relied on boats to cross the river for years. Now, the bridge not only facilitates easier access but has also become a significant tourist attraction. The bridge was inaugurated on September 26 by President Ram Chandra Poudel.

Tourists from various parts of Nepal, as well as neighboring India, are now visiting Susta to experience the stunning suspension bridge, which has turned the once-isolated village into a growing hub of tourist interest.
