Kathmandu, March 2025 – Helvetas Nepal, a leading organization in rural development, has marked a remarkable milestone, celebrating nearly seven decades of dedicated partnership with the people and government of Nepal. In a grand unveiling ceremony, the photobook titled “Towards 70 Years of Togetherness” was officially launched, capturing the journey of Helvetas' profound contributions to Nepal’s development.
The photobook, a visual testimony of Helvetas’ commitment, highlights the organization’s transformative journey from introducing cheese-making in Nepal to pioneering peace-building initiatives and fostering sustainable prosperity. This celebration stands as a testament to the enduring Nepal-Switzerland development cooperation.
The unveiling ceremony was graced by prominent dignitaries, including the Rt. Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli, Her Excellency Swiss Ambassador to Nepal, Dr. Danielle Meuwly, and Helvetas President Regula Rytz. Their inspiring forewords and best wishes in the photobook further symbolize the collaborative spirit underpinning the Nepal-Switzerland partnership for sustainable development.
Dr. Prabin Manandhar and Maneesh Pradhan, Country Directors of Helvetas Nepal, jointly presented the photobook, emphasizing the organization's unwavering dedication to Nepal’s rural development. “This book is more than a collection of photographs.
