Recent Flood and Landslide Impacts in Nepal

Kathmandu – In response to the severe floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall on 26-28 September 2024, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has announced immediate relief measures. Following an emergency meeting led by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, NPR 50 million has been allocated to the most affected districts for urgent relief.

Temporary shelters are being set up for displaced families, and food, water, and medical supplies are being distributed. A technical team has also been deployed to assess the damage and facilitate reconstruction efforts. Stay tuned for more updates.
