World Tourism Day Marked with Launch of E-Permit System in ACAP

On World Tourism Day, the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) celebrated the successful launch of an E-permit system to enhance trekking management in the region.

The event also saw the announcement of the best photo capturing the Annapurna landscape, ecosystem, and its people.Tourists were warmly welcomed at eight check posts along the Annapurna Circuit (Lamjung Simpani, Manang Dharapani, Tanki Manang, Mustang Muktinath, Jomsom, Ghasa, Myagdi Shika, and Kaski Birethanthi), two check posts on the ABC trekking route (Pothana and Chhomorng), and two located on the Upper Mustang trekking route (Kagbeni and Lomanthang).

Further festivities included a tourism promotion interaction at the Lwang and Siklesh User Committee Offices, and a vibrant street rally in Jomsom, engaging locals and tourists alike in the celebrations.
