🚨 URGENT: Major Flood Alert Issued Along Bhotekoshi-Trishuli River Corridor

Trishuli - A major flood has entered Nepal’s Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa from the Tibet side, prompting an urgent public safety alert for communities living along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli river corridors.
Authorities have urged residents in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan-particularly those living along the riverbanks and downstream areas extending up to Muglin-to remain on high alert and stay in safe locations until further notice.
People have also been advised to immediately contact the toll-free emergency number 1234 if search and rescue is required or if any form of assistance is needed.
🚧 Travel Restrictions Urged
The public has been strongly advised not to travel on the following routes and to completely avoid movement in potentially hazardous sections:
Prithvi Highway
Galchhi-Nuwakot-Rasuwa-Syafrubesi road
Muglin-Narayangadh road
The warning comes amid the risk of rapidly rising river levels and potentially dangerous conditions along downstream settlements and transport corridors.
Residents in vulnerable riverbank communities are urged to prioritize life safety, move to higher and safer ground when necessary, avoid approaching swollen rivers, and follow official instructions from local authorities and disaster-response agencies.
