Lamjung, June 27 - Farmers in Thakle Khet of Sundarbazar Municipality-5, Lamjung, were seen actively preparing their paddy fields for rice transplantation on Saturday afternoon, using traditional bullock-drawn ploughs to harrow waterlogged farmland.
The scene reflects the beginning of the peak paddy cultivation season in Nepal, when farmers intensify field preparation following the arrival of monsoon rains. In many rural communities, the use of bullocks for ploughing remains an important and practical farming method, particularly in areas where mechanized equipment is either inaccessible or unsuitable for local terrain.
