Morning Hydration Encouraged as Heat Rises: Health Experts Emphasize Balanced Water Intake

Kathmandu | Ecosphere News
As temperatures continue to rise during the warmer season, health awareness messages are encouraging people to maintain proper hydration and develop healthy daily routines. One commonly promoted habit is drinking water after waking up, which may help replenish fluids lost overnight and support overall body function.
Health information shared through public awareness campaigns highlights that adequate hydration supports digestion, circulation, body temperature regulation, attention, and general wellbeing. Dr. Toshima Karki note that drinking water in the morning can contribute to a person’s total daily fluid intake, although overall hydration throughout the entire day remains more important than the exact timing of water consumption.
Recommendations commonly encourage beginning the day with around one to two glasses of water and continuing to drink fluids regularly according to weather conditions, activity levels, and individual needs. Carrying a reusable water bottle to offices, schools, and colleges is also being promoted as a practical way to maintain hydration habits during hot weather.
Medical guidance also stresses that water intake should not follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Individuals living with certain health conditions-including kidney disease, heart-related conditions, or situations requiring fluid restriction-should follow advice provided by qualified healthcare professionals.
Public health experts further note that hydration supports health best when combined with balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and consistent daily habits rather than relying on a single morning routine alone.
