Kathmandu, Nepal - A new milestone has been added to Nepal’s tourism sector with the successful identification and ascent of a previously unexplored trekking peak in the Jugal Himalayan range. The newly named “Jugal Everest View Point”, standing at a height of 5,570 meters, is being recognized as a promising destination for adventure tourism due to its proximity to Kathmandu and relatively easy accessibility.
According to a press release issued by Jugal Rural Municipality, the peak was successfully climbed on Baisakh 3, 2083 (B.S.) as part of a structured study and exploration initiative led by the local Tourism Development Committee. The initation aims to bring the long-overlooked Jugal region into Nepal’s and the world’s tourism spotlight.
Officials describe the site as offering exceptional panoramic views, including Mount Everest and several other himalayan peaks exceeding 8,000 meters, such as Cho Oyu, Makalu, Lhotse, and Shishapangma.
