Established on August 18, 2022, Chilime Seti Hydropower Company Limited is a subsidiary of Chilime Hydropower Company Limited. The parent company is primarily owned by the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), which holds a 51 per cent share.
CSHC was established with the objective of developing hydropower projects and contributing to Nepal's renewable energy generation capacity. The company is currently engaged in developing the 87 MW Seti Nadi-3 Hydroelectric Project (SN3HEP), located in Bajhang District of Sudurpashchim Province. The Department of Electricity Development (DoED) issued a survey licence for the project in fiscal year 2074/75. Following the completion of a detailed feasibility study, the company applied for a generation licence to advance the project towards implementation.
The Seti Nadi-3 Hydroelectric Project is expected to contribute to Nepal's growing hydropower capacity and support the country's broader transition towards clean and renewable energy.
The successful conclusion of the fourth AGM marks another milestone in the company's corporate governance and institutional development as it advances its hydropower development objectives.
