Kathmandu, March 28 - A fire broke out at a Thakali restaurant in the Kamaladi area of Kathmandu on Saturday, prompting an immediate emergency response.
The incident occurred near Trichandra College, a central and busy part of the capital, raising concerns among locals and businesses in the vicinity. According to initial information, the fire started earlier in the day, and efforts to bring it under control are still ongoing.
Firefighters, supported by security personnel, have been deployed to the scene. Multiple fire engines are actively engaged in controlling the blaze, while authorities are working to prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
As of now, there have been no confirmed reports of casualties or injuries. Officials have stated that further details, including the cause of the fire and the extent of damage, will be released after the situation is fully under control.
This incident highlights ongoing concerns about fire safety measures in densely populated urban areas, where closely built infrastructure can increase risks during emergencies.
