Missing Mustang Helicopter Makes Safe Landing in Dolakha’s Lapche Village

A helicopter operated by Mustang Helicopters that was reported missing in the Dolakha region has safely landed, bringing relief to authorities and families.
According to reliable sources, the aircraft made a safe landing in Lapche Village at approximately 12:18 PM. All individuals on board were confirmed safe, with no reports of injuries or damage.
The helicopter, identified as an AS350 (registration number 9N-ANO), was carrying one captain along with five Nepali passengers. The aircraft had earlier lost contact while flying over the rugged terrain of Dolakha, raising concerns due to the region’s challenging geography and weather variability.
While the exact cause of the temporary communication loss remains unclear, aviation observers note that Nepal’s mountainous landscapes often pose operational challenges, including sudden weather shifts and limited connectivity in remote areas.
Authorities are expected to conduct a routine assessment and gather further details to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The safe landing underscores both the resilience of aviation crews operating in high-risk terrains and the importance of robust monitoring systems.
This incident adds to ongoing discussions around aviation safety in Nepal, particularly in remote and high-altitude regions where infrastructure and weather conditions remain critical factors.
