Kathmandu, Nepal - Himalayan Life Insurance Limited has successfully concluded its 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM), endorsing key financial and governance agendas for the fiscal year 2081/82.
The AGM, attended by the company’s board of directors, senior management, and shareholders, approved the financial highlights of the fiscal year 2081/82, reflecting the company’s operational performance and financial position during the review period. The meeting discussed the company’s premium growth, investment portfolio, claim settlement performance, and overall financial stability amid evolving regulatory and market conditions in Nepal’s insurance sector.
Shareholders also endorsed the appointment of an external auditor for the upcoming fiscal year, in line with regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards. The move is expected to further strengthen transparency, accountability, and financial reporting integrity within the company.
In addition, the AGM approved the appointment of an Independent Director to the board. The inclusion of an independent board member is seen as a step toward reinforcing good governance practices, ensuring balanced decision-making, and aligning with the directives of the Insurance Authority of Nepal regarding board structure and compliance.
