In a significant move to bolster infrastructure and connectivity, the Government of Nepal and the World Bank have jointly initiated a $128 million project aimed at improving the provincial and local road network. The initiative was officially launched today, marking a step forward in enhancing the efficiency, resilience, and safety of Nepal's roadways.FB_IMG_1732188631361-1732189096.jpgThe project seeks to address key challenges in the country's road infrastructure by focusing on improved connectivity for provincial and local areas, which are critical for economic growth and social development. By upgrading roads to make them more climate-resilient and safer for users, the initiative aligns with Nepal's broader goals of sustainable development.

This joint venture comes at a time when Nepal's infrastructure demands are increasing, especially in rural and underdeveloped regions where better transportation can significantly impact livelihoods. The World Bank's financial and technical support will play a pivotal role in ensuring the project's success and long-term sustainability.
