Six Killed in Sumo Vehicle Accident in Makwanpur

Makwanpur - Six people lost their lives in a Sumo vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday evening at Jurikhet, Ward No. 6 of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality in Makwanpur district.
According to the District Police Office, Makwanpur, the accident took place on the Bhimphedi-Kulekhani-Kathmandu road section. The Sumo vehicle, bearing registration number Na 1 Ja 1778, was traveling from Kathmandu toward Hetauda when it met with the accident.
Police said that nine people, including the driver, were traveling in the vehicle at the time. The accident occurred after the Sumo vehicle veered off the road and plunged approximately 100 meters down a ravine.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati of the District Police Office, Makwanpur, stated that six passengers died as a result of the accident. The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed.
Three other passengers were injured in the incident and were immediately rescued and taken to Hetauda Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Police have stated that further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
