Kathmandu: Ingwa Hydropower Limited has successfully concluded its 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 16th Poush, 2082, at Hotel Crystal Pashupati, Gaushala, Kathmandu. The meeting commenced at 11:00 AM with the participation of shareholders, board members, and company officials.
Established initially as a private limited company on Ashad 9th, 2066, Ingwa Hydropower Limited was registered with the Office of the Company Registrar under registration number 63728/065/066. Following a transfer of ownership to new shareholders on Ashad 12th, 2071, the company was converted into a public limited company on Bhadra 9th, 2071, and re-registered under number 125983/071/072.
The core objective of Ingwa Hydropower Limited is to develop and operate hydropower projects and contribute to electricity generation in Nepal, supporting the country’s energy security and sustainable development goals. A major milestone for the company was achieved when its hydropower project became fully operational on 28th Chaitra, 2080.
During the AGM, shareholders reviewed and discussed the financial highlights of the fiscal year 2081/82, reflecting the company’s operational progress following the commencement of power generation. The meeting also endorsed the appointment of an auditor for the upcoming fiscal year to ensure financial transparency and regulatory compliance.
Additionally, the AGM approved an amendment to the Articles of Association, aimed at aligning the company’s governance framework with its evolving operational and regulatory requirements.
Company representatives expressed commitment to strengthening institutional governance, ensuring efficient project operation, and contributing reliably to Nepal’s hydropower sector. The successful completion of the 16th AGM marks another step forward in Ingwa Hydropower Limited’s journey as a public energy company.
