Rautahat, Nepal-Traffic along the highway in Chapur, Rautahat has been disrupted after a gas-carrying tanker overturned on the roadway, prompting authorities to close the highway in both directions as a safety precaution.
According to local police, the decision to halt traffic was taken due to the risk posed by the gas being transported, with officials prioritizing public safety and preventing potential accidents. As a result, vehicular movement on the affected stretch has been temporarily suspended.
Police have informed that small vehicles are being diverted through alternative routes, while larger vehicles remain halted until the situation is brought fully under control. Security personnel are present at the site, and precautionary measures are being strictly followed.
