Kathmandu - Rastra Bank Ex-Employee Welfare Saving & Credit Co-operative Ltd, based in Thapathali, Kathmandu, successfully concluded its 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday.
The AGM reviewed the cooperative’s financial performance and institutional progress for the fiscal year 2081/82, including discussions on savings mobilization, loan investments, and overall financial governance. Members were briefed on the cooperative’s financial status through audited financial statements prepared in line with Nepal Financial Reporting Standards.
According to the independent auditor’s report, the cooperative’s financial statements for the fiscal year ending Ashadh 31, 2082 present a true and fair view of its financial position, profit and loss, changes in equity, and cash flow. The audit further confirmed that loan disbursements and investment activities were carried out in accordance with the Co-operative Act and the institution’s internal policies, with required documentation and collateral arrangements in place.
The meeting also highlighted the cooperative’s credit management practices, particularly the assessment of members’ income sources and the enforcement of limits on unsecured lending. Audit findings indicated that loans were extended in compliance with established standards and internal regulations.
During the AGM, management and the board reiterated their commitment to strengthening internal control mechanisms, transparency, and good governance to ensure the cooperative’s long-term sustainability. Members emphasized the importance of financial discipline, risk management, and member-centric services amid evolving challenges within Nepal’s cooperative sector.
The conclusion of the 14th AGM marks a continued effort by Rastra Bank Ex-Employee Welfare Saving & Credit Co-operative Ltd to promote institutional stability, accountability, and sustainable cooperative development, while safeguarding the financial interests of its members.
